Roma Import's secret to success…listen to what customers want and give them the best quality Italian food, using the finest ingredients, for the best price.

If you love Italian food, lasagnas, Ziti, homemade Marinara, Ravioli, Eggplant Parmesan, Pizza, over-stuffed Italian sandwiches and authentic Italian home cooking, Roma Imports is the place to dine and shop. We stock hard to find olive oils, DOP tomatoes, specialty cheeses, and imported items you won’t find in your grocery store.

And, we have eight refrigerators and freezers filled with traditional Italian and International entrees and fixings for your table, most made on the premises in our own kitchen. Some Roma frozen entrees reflect Lilian’s international flare for cooking. She was born in Calcutta, raised in Israel, and lived in Europe for many years. As a result, Lilian can cook in several languages. So, if you occasionally crave Saag Paneer, Indian curries, homemade Spätzle, Lamb Moussaka, or Shepard’s Pie, Roma Imports will not disappoint.

Patricia's Cuban Kitchen features authentic Cuban food items and family style meals prepared for you with all the traditional flavors of Cuba.

I was born and raised in Cuba. I came to live in Tucson, AZ in December 2004. I have a bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Engineering and a master’s in Plant Biotechnology. Both degrees are from Cuba. Several months after arriving to Tucson I was able to find a job at the University of Arizona in a Microbiology laboratory, where I stayed for 14 years. As much as I love biological sciences - I also love to cook.

It didn’t take me long to realize that cooking Cuban food in my new home, far away from Cuba, was a very effective way to go back to my memories of Cuba. My childhood memories, especially when my great-grandmother used to cook for the whole family on Sundays. I actually started baking my guava pies and “polvorones” (shortbread cookies) to remember the smell of the fresh goodies coming from a bakery that was very close to my grandparent’s house in Camaguey.

I started selling my food at Tucson Meet Yourself (TMY) in 2011 and it was a hit. I have changed and adapted my menu over the years and selling dishes, such as meat empanadas and Ropa Vieja (shredded beef in Cuban style tomato sauce). I decided to leave my job at the University in the summer of 2019, after getting my second Master’s degree in Microbiology to dedicate my time to my own business, Patricia’s Cuban Kitchen.
